Isometrics / Isotonic techniques are an active approach to stimulating the person’s atrophied or chronic alignment and tension holding patterns. Through the use of resistance or movement assistance the structure is engaged and proprioceptors are stimulated; thus, allowing habitual holding patterns to rebalance to  obtain greater flexibility and mobility.
