For some time, my right wrist was quite tense and sore, and soon after, my fingers began going numb. Simply using the mouse with my computer (which I did for a living) became increasingly painful. I went to my family physician and she did a little "in office" test on my wrist. She told me I would have to go see a specialist in regards to "Carpal Tunnel". I would likely have to have surgery. In the meantime, I was told to keep my wrist firm and straight as much as I could. I purchased a metal brace and started wearing it at night to relieve some of the pain and pressure. Even after a few weeks, there was little change regarding the discomfort in my right wrist.
I decided to see my Ortho Bionomy Practitioner in Hinton to have her work on my wrist, fingers and arm. She began the session working the wrist, forearm and upper arm. After the first treatment I had immediate results. It was as if the pain and tension surrounding the stressed wrist had been lifted and released. I believe that surgery won't be necessary anymore and that occasional O.B. sessions will be the answer... and not an alternate. It was an amazing relief!
I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disk Disease 15 years ago and was living with constant pain. A friend of mine told me about Ortho-Bionomy and at that point I was willing to try anything. I now am pain free for very long periods of time...I have my life back. My husband has had a bad back for years. After 2 years of seeing the results I have had with Ortho-Bionomy, he finally went. He said his back hasn't felt this good since he was 20. Our son plays hockey and unfortunately has suffered from numerous and sometimes serious injuries i.e. concussions, knee injuries, pulled groin, hands, feet, neck, etc. If it wasn't for Ortho-Bionomy, my son wouldn't have been able to go back and play hockey as soon as he did, if at all. What we like about Ortho-Bionomy is that it is never painful...no crunching or cracking, just relaxing. Ortho-Bionomy has changed our lives physically and also mentally.
I started having Ortho-Bionomy treatments about 6 months after foot surgery. I was having problems with maintaining my balance and had various kinds of treatments to correct the problem, none of which were successful over time. When I heard about Ortho-Bionomy, I was quite skeptical but felt that I had nothing to lose considering the other therapies I had tried. After the first session, I was so relaxed and the treatment was so gentle, I was convinced it would not help my balance difficulties; however, I did decide to try one more session.
To my utter amazement, my balance was restored after the second session and I have not had problems with my balance in the last 5 years. I have continued the Ortho-Bionomy treatments for various other difficulties and continue to have regular "tune up" sessions. I would highly recommend Ortho-Bionomy as a gentle and effective way of aligning and re-adjusting the physical body and energy flow.
It was in spring, at the end of May 2007, that I had the mishap of falling down a flight of stairs. This resulted in back injuries involving the area from my neck to my left leg; I had torn ligaments and muscles. The medical team in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Emergency Department attended to my unbearable pain. They advised me to have my doctor refer me for massage or chiropractic therapy to help with my pain and recovery.
I underwent eight sessions of massage therapy and one of chiropractic therapy, yet my body was still very guarded with acute pain - the reason being that my skeletal structure was still (visibly) out of body alignment. Dr. S., who had been attending to me throughout my injuries, felt that he might need to send me to see a back surgeon if massage or chiropractic therapy did not help. Around this time a friend of mine from Vancouver heard about my mishap. She drove all the way here to introduce me to a modality that she thought might be 'the best’ bet to help me with my recovery; it was called Ortho-Bionomy. She said it had erased all the pain that she had suffered with for over 30 years from 2 bad whiplash injuries. She gave me details about the Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner in Vernon.
I shared this piece of news with Dr. S., and told him that I would like to try this therapy. Dr. S. agreed that we should not close any doors; I was given the green light to contact the Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner to see if she could help to relieve my pain and correct my body structure. In the meantime, I was told that I would have to be away from work for awhile, tentatively till March 2008, depending on how well my recovery went.
On July 18th, 2007 I started receiving Ortho-Bionomy. To everyone's amazement, including my doctor’s, by the 2nd session of Ortho-Bionomy my body was less contorted and crippled. I was able to walk, do the stairs and get out of bed with much more ease. From then on, I never looked back; within a period of 12 weeks my recovery rate went from 0% to 80% - to the point where Dr S. cancelled me from the back surgeon’s referral list. He has been very pleased with the results which I have been receiving. In short, Ortho-Bionomy has given me hope and I feel it has saved me from having a full back surgery.
